The Leadsheet.app ecosystem

Leadsheet.app is a music ecosystem made of separate applications, each optimised for a specific task. At the centre of everything is neumaRk (NRK), the textual language in which scores are written: a song is its NRK text, and the apps are the ways to write it, read it and organise it.

The three applications

App What it's for When to use it
Library your personal space: songs, collections, sharing, account to organise and find your material
Write the NRK editor with a real-time score preview and Speedy Entry to write or edit a song
View the digital reader / music stand, even without signing in to read from or perform a score

A fourth app for live performance is planned but not yet available.

Opening a song from one app to another depends on how you click the link:

Gesture Effect
click opens in the same tab
Cmd/Ctrl + click opens in a new tab
Z + click reuses an already-open tab (e.g. an already-open View reloads the song instead of opening another)

Z is a modifier key: it's the physical key at the bottom-left of the keyboard (W on AZERTY, Y on QWERTZ; auto-detected). On mobile the Z+click gesture isn't available.

When you share a song you can choose between three kinds of link: the fly link (the song travels inside the link, opens even offline and without an account), the hard link (a reference to the saved song, always up to date and under your control) and the reactive link (like the hard link, but viewers follow the edits in real time). How they work and what they entail is on the dedicated page: Links & sharing.
