Playlist

A playlist is an ordered setlist of songs, meant for performance: a sequence you go through one after another, with any adjustments for each stop.

The items: linked or frozen

Each item in a playlist can be one of two types:

• Standalone (dynamic) — a reference to a song in your library: it follows its edits, always up to date;
• Embedded (snapshot) — a frozen copy stored inside the playlist: independent, it doesn't change if the original is edited.

You can convert a dynamic item into a snapshot to "freeze" it, and — if it's a snapshot — open it in Write to edit it.

Adjustments for each item

For each song in the setlist you can set:

• a transposition (to change its key within the setlist);
• your own notes;
• a form — the performance order of the sections (intro, choruses, repeats…).

The order of items is changed by dragging them.

Performing and sharing

In View a playlist is gone through in performer mode: back/forward between songs and a quick jump to any of them. The adjustments (transposition, form) are applied automatically to each song.

A playlist is shared with a private link, a link or a protected link (there is no public playlist in the catalogue). Whoever receives the link can add it to their own material as a viewer. It can also be exported to .nrk. The Roles on a playlist are creator, collaborator and viewer.
